Job summary

Kredete, a fintech company, seeks an Associate Counsel in New York to join its growing legal team. You will support licensing applications and regulatory filings across US and international markets, and draft and negotiate commercial agreements for product and business teams.

You will advise on legal issues including AI-driven workflows and credit products, and collaborate with compliance on AML, KYC, and data privacy frameworks shaping global fintech operations.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school, active bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction, and 0–2 years of legal experience (including internships, clerkships, or early-career roles) with exposure to fintech, payments, financial services, or regulatory law.

Responsibilities

• Support licensing applications and regulatory filings across US and international markets.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements for product and business teams.
• Advise product and engineering on legal issues including AI-driven workflows and credit products.
• Partner with the compliance function on AML, KYC, and data privacy frameworks.
