Job summary

Praxt Talent LLC in San Francisco, CA seeks an experienced Accounting Manager or Senior Manager to own the internal accounting function, manage monthly closes, and lead audit prep in a fast-paced fintech setting.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, Big 4 background, CPA preferred, and a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset. You will collaborate across finance, engineering, and data teams while reporting to the CFO.

Qualifications

• Public accounting background (Big 4 or equivalent) with CPA preferred.
• Experience in fintech, lending, or startup environments highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting and audit/close processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close process (QuickBooks).
• Prepare for external audits and draft financial statements.
• Oversee tax compliance workflows with external advisors.
• Document and improve internal accounting processes and controls.
• Apply technical accounting treatment for fintech transactions (loan origination, revenue, equity, warrants).
• Serve as internal accounting resource for guidance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams for scalable, audit-ready processes.
