Job summary

North Cloud seeks a FinOps Advocate (GCP, Azure) to lead cloud cost optimization for enterprise customers in a practitioner role. You will work with prospects, customers, and our product team to drive real financial outcomes on AWS, GCP, and Azure, bringing hands-on experience with cost data, budgeting, and optimization.

You will engage in deep technical evaluations, guide customers on cost structure, and influence roadmap decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years running cloud FinOps, either as head of a practice or in product management
• Deep fluency in GCP and/or Azure with hands-on billing data interpretation
• Credibility with finance and engineering audiences, ability to move between them in the same meeting
• Comfort in pre-sales without a quota, acting as technical authority rather than closer

Responsibilities

• Join evaluations as the technical authority on GCP and Azure costs, from first call through close
• Explain billing data to cloud leaders and CFOs, highlighting savings opportunities
• Run proof-of-concept engagements and address situations where North is not the right fit
• Help customers build a FinOps practice around North after deployment
• Identify at-risk accounts, diagnose causes, and address issues before renewals
• Validate releases against real environments to ensure coverage is accurate
• Collaborate with Product Manager and CEO to shape the roadmap with field evidence
• Represent North publicly through writing, speaking, and community involvement
