Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Portfolio Manager to lead FinOps budgeting for data platforms and cloud cost optimization. You will partner with IT, finance, and business teams to forecast, track, and report on CapEx/Opex and vendor costs, delivering executive-ready updates.

You will mentor portfolio managers and drive repeatable playbooks, balancing financial discipline with delivery velocity to maximize value across cloud and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–8+ years of technology portfolio or program management experience.
• Strong knowledge of FinOps principles, data platforms, and cloud cost optimization.
• Experience in budgeting for technology portfolios (CapEx/Opex), forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to create executive-ready materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead FinOps budgeting for data technology portfolios; ensure sequencing and financial tracking.
• Oversee monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and opportunity recommendations.
• Manage vendor financials (SOWs, invoicing) with financial controls and standards.
• Prepare concise executive updates on delivery progress, risk, and financial health.
