Job summary

Geater Machining & Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Hardware Installation Technician to assemble metal products, attach sub-assemblies, and install fasteners. You will analyze work orders and blueprints to determine the process and sequence of operations.

The role involves operating riveting and installation equipment and performing quality checks on finished work. We offer shift premiums, growth opportunities, and benefits including 401k match and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts according to orders and blueprints.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components.
• Operate riveting machines or other installation equipment.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between use.
• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications with measuring devices.
• Communicate with engineers and supervisors to resolve problems.
• Submit change requests to keep production times competitive.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Analyze work orders, work pieces, and blueprints to determine process, materials, and sequence of operations required to assemble parts. Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners. Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components. Operate drill presses, riveting machines, or other installation equipment to assist in assembly operation.

• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Install hardware such as fasteners, terminals and electrical components.
• Operate riveting machines, or other installation equipment to assist in assembly operation.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between use.

• Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications and blueprints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
• Communicate and confer with engineers, production personnel, supervisors or others to resolve problems that may arise.
• Submit change requests as necessary to help keep production times competitive.
• Other job duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:

• Record of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
