Job summary

Ascentec Engineering is hiring finishing technicians for on-site work at our Tualatin headquarters. Responsibilities include deburr, cleaning, sanding, and precision finishing of machined parts using power and hand tools. Automotive experience and the ability to read drawings are highly valued.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. We offer Day, Swing, and Weekend Day shifts with an industry-leading hourly shift differential.

Qualifications

• Preference for candidates with experience cleaning, deburr, sanding, and lapping of precision machined parts.
• Automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Finish and deburr precision machined parts.
• Read and interpret customer specifications, prints & drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools (DA Sander, Drills, Dremel, Torque drivers).
• Lift objects up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and comply with safety policies.

We are seeking Finishing technicians to join our team. Do you have excellent attention to detail skills? Can you use hand tools effectively? We will train entry-level candidates and are looking for seasoned deburr/finishing technicians too.

This is an excellent opportunity for career growth for motivated and capable candidates that exhibit potential. Many of our finishing technicians have moved to other departments, including machining.

Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday, 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Both off shifts are full-time opportunities and offer an industry-leading hourly shift differential.

This position is on‑site (not hybrid/not remote) at our Tualatin headquarters and does not offer Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Preference for candidates that have worked with precision machined parts. Cleaning, deburr, sanding, lapping, etc.
• Automotive experience
• Should be proficient at using both power and hand tools: DA Sander, Drills, Dremel, Torque Drivers, etc.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for an extended period of time
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications, prints & drawings
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior fabrication experience (manufacturing, construction, etc.)
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior machine shop experience
• Valid driver’s license

Compensation / Benefits:
