Superior Paving Corp. in Virginia seeks a Finishing Roller Operator to achieve smooth asphalt surfaces by operating a finish roller in a fast-paced paving environment.
Responsibilities include operating the roller, coordinating with QA and foreman, and ensuring surface quality. The role requires 1+ year of paving experience and 1 year operating a finishing roller. Hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.00, with potential overtime.
The Finishing Roller Operator is responsible for achieving smooth, consistent, and high-quality asphalt surfaces by operating a finish roller during paving operations. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Requirements
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds; pull up one’s own body weight; and sit in one position for up to 12 hours per day. It also requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods; tolerate noise, vibration, heat, and outdoor conditions common to paving operations; demonstrate the manual dexterity needed to use hand tools and equipment; and maintain good eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, multi-limb coordination, static strength, and balance
Work is performed outdoors on roadways, construction zones, and active traffic areas, often in hot, cold, or otherwise adverse weather. Employees are regularly exposed to hot asphalt, dust, fumes, loud noise, and vibration from tools and equipment.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $18.00-$25.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and training.
