Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Utility Operator to support finishing production on the shop floor. You will follow established methods, maintain safety, ensure quality, and help prepare parts for shipping with attention to detail.

Ideal candidates may have GED or high school diploma, up to six months of manufacturing experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within our global materials company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Up to 6 months related experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
• Cleans parts using a variety of techniques required to meet customer specifications
• Deburrs, polishes and identify parts
• Mount parts on revolving spindle or chuck and hold or move tools such as a file, abrasive stone or cloth against work piece
• Use drill presses, notchers and sanders
• Clean interior surfaces of holes in tubes
• Develop, monitor, and maintain input reports, production reports
• Check quality at start of shift and ensure quality of all products throughout shift.
• Must be able to use measuring tools to meet specifications
• Ability to read basic blueprints
• Package product and assemble kits for shipping
