Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Finishing Process Operator to run plating, e-coat, or powder coat finishing operations and perform routine maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED; 3 months of plating, e-coat, or powder coat experience is preferred. You should also be able to perform material handling, racking, and preventative maintenance with on-the-job training provided. Allegion is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.

Reporting to the Department Supervisor, a Finishing Process Operator is responsible for the operation of a finishing process (Plating, E‑Coat, Powder Coat) and the general/preventative maintenance of finishing equipment. If you enjoy working in a fast‑paced and dynamic team environment, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in manufacturing.

What You Will Do
  • Utilize basic chemistry and math principles to determine and maintain pH levels, amperages, and material ordering.
  • Enter and maintain quality data via computerized systems.
  • Follow KanBan principles regarding material flow.
  • Follow all OSHA and RCRA regulations in handling chemicals and operating finishing process and material movement equipment.
What You Need to Succeed
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3 months experience in plating, e‑coat, or powder coat in a manufacturing operation.
  • In addition, you ideally bring an ability to perform material handling, racking activities, and preventative maintenance of equipment; if not, we will happily provide the training and support you need to be successful.
