Job summary

Silgan Specialty Packaging LLC in West Virginia is seeking a detail-oriented manufacturing associate to support product safety and quality across all duties. You will monitor machine operation, ensure parts are counted and boxed correctly, pull samples for quality checks, and log any nonconformities for the Shift QA.

You will evaluate product quality against standards, maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers, tape and label boxes, and prepare shift-end paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and are counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers.
• Un-jam assemblers as needed.
• Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment.
• Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions that occurred.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
