Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Finishing Operator to set up and operate post-print label finishing equipment. You will follow job tickets, run cutting equipment, inspect print and cut quality, complete production documentation, and keep the finishing area clean and organized.

This is a 2nd shift position with a $1.00 differential. You’ll work with QA and other finishing operators to meet customer specifications, gain hands-on experience in finishing and cutting,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in cutting operations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets and select/modify programs as required.
• Set scale to weigh product properly.
• Jog product to ensure proper line up.
• Check print quality for errors (color, dog-ears, register, scum).
• Set cutter side guides and load/cut product.
• Operate cutter and adjust to maintain specs.
• Coordinate with Folder and Overwrap operators to meet folding/wrapping requirements.
• Monitor knife performance for clean cuts.
• Move finished product to staging using hand or pallet truck.
• Complete load tags, tally sheets, and final job tickets.
• Record daily production sheets with job details like job number and customer.
• Train new operators and helpers as needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; participate in special projects.
