Job summary

MCC, a global leader in premium labels, seeks a Finishing Cutter Operator in Ohio. You will set up and operate cutter machines in the post-print finishing stage. Experience is not required but is a bonus, with opportunities to train and grow within a safety-conscious team.

The role involves handling products, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with folding/ wrapping operators to meet specifications. Generous benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic: add/subtract/multiply/divide with whole numbers, fractions, decimals.
• Ability to read job tickets and interpret customer specs.
• Strong problem solving and procedural thinking.
• High attention to detail to ensure quality and tolerances.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and move materials.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets and determine customer specifications.
• Operate computer to select or modify programs as required.
• Contact QA for approval to run jobs.
• Set scale to weigh product for proper amounts.
• Jog product to ensure proper line up.
• Check for printing errors: color, dog-ears, register, scum.
• Set cutter side guides and load product for cutting.
• Verify cutting accuracy and adjust as needed to meet specs.
• Coordinate with Folder and Overwrap to meet folding/wrapping requirements.
• Ensure knife performance for clean cuts.
• Move finished product to staging and bring in supplies as needed.
• Complete load tags, tally sheets, and daily production records.
• Train new Operators and helpers in jogging and cutting operations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; participate in special projects.
