Job summary

Big Top Manufacturing, a fabric structures producer in Perry, FL, is seeking a Finishing Operator to meet production objectives. The role requires near-perfect attendance and punctuality, with overtime as needed, reporting directly to the Finishing and Hardware Supervisor.

Responsibilities include ensuring timely production, painting welds, labeling, measuring for accuracy, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good time-management skills and reliability.
• Forklift certification due within 3 months (on-the-job training).
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16 inch.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all parts are produced on time and are of good quality.
• Paint all welds and metal as required to meet production standards.
• Apply labels and bundle products.
• Assist in measuring products for accuracy.
• Check products for missed welds and confirm weld quality.
• Minimize material waste.
• Responsible for care and preventive maintenance of the equipment in use.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report violations, accidents and near misses to supervisor.
• Assist in the training of new personnel on safety, production, and quality standards and procedures.
• Follow instructions given by supervisor.
• Responsible for housekeeping in your area and the entire facility
• Other duties as assigned.
