Job description

Position

Finishing Technician I – Collins Aerospace Carbon Operations, Spokane, WA. Onsite role requiring U.S. citizenship, permanent residency or similar status. No immigration sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities
  • Set‑up, calibrate, and operate automated chemical application equipment for protective coating of carbon aircraft brakes.
  • Perform manual chemical application processes and use automated riveting equipment to fasten hardware to brake components.
  • Operate Fanuc brand robots and maintain coating processes, troubleshooting digital and mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Manage material flow in and out of ovens for chemical curing, including loading/unloading and visual/mechanical inspections.
  • Monitor process quality, verify final assembled parts meet specifications, and conduct quality checks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to environmental, health and safety procedures.
  • Use basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring.
Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of entry‑level manufacturing or related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to recognize equipment problems and notify chain of command.
  • Capability to read drawings and follow manufacturing procedures.
  • Strong prioritization skills in a changing environment requiring ingenuity and judgment.
  • U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylee).
Shift & Compensation
  • 4‑on/4‑off rotation; 12‑hour shifts (6:00AM – 6:00PM / 6:00PM – 6:00AM).
  • Compensation starts at $50,000 per year with built‑in overtime.
