Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Finishing Process Operator I for our Pueblo, Colorado Brakes Team. You will operate the finishing process for aircraft carbon brake discs, work with robotic equipment, and learn to follow strict procedures in a team environment.

Starting pay is $18.00/hour with shift differential; 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. rotations on a 3-on/3-off cycle. Onsite role with training on state-of-the-art equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing/assembly experience helpful.
  • Read blueprints helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Load/unload small furnaces and prepare parts.
  • Use handheld scanners to track and move parts.
  • Precisely measure part dimensions with gauges and scales.
  • Read drawings and operate robotic/automated equipment per procedures.
  • Document the process and ensure safety and quality.

You will work in a dynamic manufacturing operation that performs the finishing process for aircrafts carbon brake discs.You will have the opportunity to be trained to work with state-of-the-art robotic equipment.You must be willing to learn and thrive in a team environment.

Position works onsite at our Pueblo, Colorado Facility.

Starting Pay: $18.00/hour with additional shift differential

Shift Schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. rotates to 6:00 p.m.to 6:00 a.m.

Shift Rotation: 3 on - 3 off schedule, rotating day/night shift every 2 months

What You Will Do
  • Load/unload small furnaces
  • Use handheld scanners to track and move parts
  • Precisely measure part dimensions and weights using handheld gauges and scales
  • Communicate to your Supervisor any potential mechanical or safety issues with the equipment
  • Strictly follows written procedures to maintain safety and ensure quality
  • Read drawings and operate robotic and automated equipment per manufacturing procedures
  • Documents the process used to create / finish parts
  • Set up and cleaning of robotic and automated equipment
  • You will use your basic to intermediate computer skills
  • You will learn to recognize issues with the process equipment tolerance limits
  • Learn all Collins and customer specifications relating to finished, special processes, and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or a GED
  • Manufacturing or similar industry related experience

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The hourly rate for this role is $18.00/hour USD. The hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
