Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Finishing Operator for afternoons/nights in Milan, OH. This full-time role supports JM core values and participates in the Pay for Skills program, progressing through Operator 1.

You will follow safety policies, relay information for quality production, and maintain housekeeping while completing training and shift-specific tasks. The role requires reading specs, basic math, and capable multitasking.

Qualifications

• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, work instruction, finished product specifications.
• General math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages.
• Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Solid communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
• Relieve other employees as directed.
• Maintain communication to ensure quality product is being made.
• Maintain daily housekeeping requirements.
• Follow JSA/SOPs.
• Wear proper clothing and PPE as required.
• Complete all training and meetings.
• Understand and use all appropriate checks and checklists.
• Complete production reporting.
• Other duties may vary depending on position assignment; check with supervisor for details.
