Valley Steel Stamp is seeking a Second Shift Finishing Operator to prepare conforming parts for shipment, performing finishing, inspection, marking, cleaning, and packaging activities.

You will follow production schedules and work instructions, maintain quality, notify supervisors of issues, and document checks while keeping work areas clean and compliant with 6S and PPE requirements. This role is on-site in Greenfield, MA with a Monday-Thursday 3pm–1am schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and follow production schedules and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize defects.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of parts, including under a microscope when required, to verify parts meet requirements before shipment.
• Perform finishing operations such as deburring, sandblasting, washing, passivation, laser marking, polishing, and packaging of conforming parts.
• Read and follow production schedules, job travelers, work orders, customer requirements, and applicable work instructions.
• Handle, stage, and package parts carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
• Notify Finishing Supervisor of quality concerns, nonconforming parts, or equipment issues.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including logs and production records.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, organized condition per 6S and PPE rules.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE for finishing operations.
• Support team goals by rotating finishing tasks as trained and assisting with other duties.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying quality and flow improvements.

Valley Steel Stamp is hiring a Second Shift Finishing Operator to prepare conforming parts for shipment to customers by performing finishing, inspection, marking, cleaning, and packaging activities.
