Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a Finishing Operator for 2nd shift in the Pittsburgh area. The role involves a range of finishing tasks including belting, chasing, painting, and packing to support production and quality control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of finishing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with peers and management.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Mechanical aptitude; ability to use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects product at work station to determine work required.
• Determines required finish operation based upon production order and ticket.
• Performs finish process meeting quality standards and follows on-site SOPs.
• Transfers product safely between work stations.
• Adheres to safety rules and regulations.
• Belts, chasing, clear coating, drilling and tapping as required.
• Packing, shipping, painting and hand-finishing tasks as assigned.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment.
