KURZ Transfer Products in Huntersville, NC is hiring a Finishing Operator for the 2nd shift. Qualifications

• Effective communication with team members.
• Basic math skills for interpreting production specifications.
• Attention to detail for quality control.
• Adherence to safe knife and blade techniques.
• Physical ability to lift 50–100 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review orders (color, label, width, length) to meet customer needs.
• Set up machines with correct settings and tension for each order.
• Inspect materials and ensure proper conversion based on the order.
• Utilize an overhead crane to move product between locations.
• Operate finishing machines to spool, slit, rewind, or cut jumbo stock.
• Pool material between stock locations.
• Change blades and thread through spooling components.
• Splice product rolls and rethread as needed.
• Report issues with finishing orders to supervisors.
• Enter finishing information into SAP with scrap codes.
• Manage off-cuts according to procedures.
• Collaborate with material handlers to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and certify outgoing rolls for customer satisfaction.
