Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking workers in Wisconsin to perform hand bundling, stitching, hand gluing cartons, cutting items on the bandsaw, and operating a slitter as needed. Responsibilities

  • Follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Teamwork to meet production goals.
  • Pump glue and adjust roller for proper coverage.
  • Fluff labels and load labels onto the machine.
  • Review stock and raw materials per job instructions.
  • Verify die cuts/print plates in good condition before/after runs.
  • Set up equipment and run tests to ensure MacOps specs.
  • Run and verify quality of units and ensure hand-stacked units meet requirements.
  • Quality check on glue adhesion and other customer checks.
  • Enter data on MacOps and QCS; notify supervisor if issues arise.
  • Maintain line clearance and keep a clean, safe workspace.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Overview
  • Hand bundling

  • Independent position ability to follow a schedule and work on different items throughout the department
  • Running a slitter (scoring and cutting down corrugated sheets)
  • Hand breaking pieces per customer requirements
  • Helping on machine centers as needed (feeding and stacking)
Responsibilities
  • Follows all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Teamwork effort and involvement to meet all production goals.
  • Pump glue in the machine and adjust the roller for the proper coverage.
  • Fluff labels and set label equipment. Load labels onto the machine
  • Review stock and raw materials and check the MacOps screen in KIWI. Check the attachments: print card and die cut diagram (if applicable).
  • Check raw materials per job instructions, including incoming sheets, inks, and tooling. Notify the supervisor if any materials need to be in specification.
  • Verify and ensure die cuts/print plates are in good shape before and after running.
  • Set up needed equipment and machines. Runs tests to ensure parts meet MacOps specs and foldability. Make necessary adjustments.
  • Runs order and verifies quality throughout the run and overall quality of the units. Also, ensures that the hand-stacked units meet all requirements.
  • Perform quality check on glue adhesion and any other customer-specific quality checks/scans.
  • Enters data on MacOps and QCS icons on every order. Notifies supervisor if the first run is present.
  • Applies appropriate WIP or load tags, inspects and removes miscellaneous scrap, and sends to the bander.
  • Ensures line clearance functions have been performed before the start-up of the next order.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment through a "clean as you go attitude."
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.
