Job summary

MCC in the United States is seeking a Finishing Manager to lead all operations in the Finishing Department, driving safety, productivity and quality.

You will coach teams, develop capacity plans, monitor performance, and participate in long-term planning to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role requires Lean manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams; travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma, with some college education preferred.
• Requires 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience, including scheduling and real time operations management.
• Strong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Fulfillment.
• Must have Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated change management leadership skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking skills.
• Solid ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills.
• Exceptional problem resolution and analysis skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Prior experience with cross-functional teams.
• Minimal travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations in finishing department with focus on safety, efficiency and quality.
• Strong leadership to maintain favorable working relationships with employees.
• Contribute to short and long-term planning toward operational excellence.
• Ensure increasing customer satisfaction and efficiency of manpower and materials.
• Monitor performance through company reports.
• Proactive problem-solver, develop contingency plans.
• Develop capacity planning strategies to ensure schedule attainment.
• Lead meetings, set performance standards, achieve goals.
• Maintain industry knowledge through networking and events.
• Train, coach, and mentor teammates and supervisors.
• Participate in special projects and other duties.
