About the Position:

We are seeking a Finishing Machine Operator – Milling (Planer Operator) responsible for setting up and operating machines, performing manual milling to finish materials to customer specifications, and ensuring quality through post-finish checks. Tasks range from simple repetitive to complex tasks based on experience.

• Calibrates to accurately layout and center materials per drawings/spec sheets
• Loads/unloads materials using forklifts, magnets, chains, slings, or overhead cranes
• Reads and understands track sheets, collaborates with crew leads and supervisors on deadlines
• Sets up parts for machining, inspects quality during and after processes
• Uses measuring tools like tapes, laser levels, and standard levels
• Marks materials with necessary identification
• Delivers materials to next operation stage
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows safety regulations
• Performs safety inspections on equipment
• Performs mold chipping and grinding to specifications, including cleaning, patching, and finishing
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• Passes measurement tests
• Works with safe work habits
• Performs semi-repetitive work with chipping guns
• Reads blueprints
• Can stand, bend, lift heavy loads for prolonged periods
• Meets physical requirements
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime
• Willing to train on Overhead Crane certification
• Lifts 30–60 pounds

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
