Card Finishing Machine Operator V - 3rd Shift
Job Summary: The Dual-Interface Card Line (DICL) Operator is responsible for set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of a DICL production machine. This role involves monitoring product quality, tracking production quantities, and ensuring safety and efficiency during production. The operator reports issues to the Machine Lead/Lead Hand and Supervisor to meet KPIs.
Job Duties:
- Attend daily production staff meetings.
- Coordinate with the production schedule, lead/lead hand, and supervisor.
- Verify availability of materials, tooling, and documentation before starting.
- Obtain production sign-off from lead/lead hand or supervisor.
- Perform safety checks on the machine.
- Operate machines within safety standards.
- Refer to product drawings and tolerances.
- Load correct job files and notify if conflicts arise.
- Set up machines according to specifications.
- Load process parameters and inspection programs.
- Manage production materials and tooling.
- Monitor and adjust process outputs as needed.
- Conduct visual and in-process quality inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, collaborating with the Shift Lead.
- Perform rework when necessary.
- Account for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization, including 5S practices.
- Ensure availability of consumables.
- Maintain activity logs and communicate progress to supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including operating machines as needed.
Accountabilities:

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Exposure to ambient noise.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Operate machinery manually.
- Stand, bend, lift for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
- Focus on high-speed production output.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical trade school preferred.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read CAD drawings and understand GD&T preferred.
- Strong math, communication, and computer skills.
- Good attendance, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
