Job summary

FIS is seeking a Finishing Machine Operator to set up and operate a variety of automated finishing equipment. The role supports production goals with accurate material handling, quality checks, and documentation in the Monarch system.

The position runs Saturday through Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 3:00 am in Columbus, GA. A high school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience are preferred, with opportunities to grow within the manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with typical 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Job complexity ranges from routine to moderately difficult, with some decision-making.
• Little supervision; follows general instructions on new assignments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate finishing machines (folder, Muller, die cutter, guillotine, saddle stitcher).
• Evaluate production samples for client specifications and quality checklists; adjust as needed.
• Package finished product and review packaging per ticket instructions; route for shipment.
• Document material usage, scrap, and production time; enter data into Monarch for cost tracking.
