Job summary

MCC, a global leader in premium labels, is seeking a Finishing Machine Operator to join our Chesapeake, VA facility. This 2nd shift role supports quality printing and efficient roll handling in a fast-paced operation.

You will inspect print/seam quality, splice rolls, document data, and participate in special projects. We offer a solid benefits package, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred.
• Standing, heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, and manual dexterity required.
• Regularly walk and use hands to feel and handle materials.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Uses ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing.
• Handles rolls and palletizes them to avoid damage.
• Understands basic printing and seam defects.
• Records data on designated paperwork and in Radius system.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties.
