Job summary

MCC, global leader in premium labels, seeks a Press Operator Assistant for 3rd shift in Chesapeake, VA. Responsibilities include set up, changeovers, and support of printing presses per customer specs. Benefit-rich package with medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, teamwork, ability to read job tickets, and lift up to 50 pounds. Print shop experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Print shop experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Ability to read a job ticket and understand measurements.
• Able to pass eye, color and ruler tests and data entry tasks.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and support printing presses per specifications.
• Assist in changeover and make-ready operations.
• Clean ink pans and related equipment and maintain cleanliness.
• Locate dies to and from press and assist operator with viewing labels.
• Adhere to safety policies and quality specifications.
• Complete quality assurance documentation as required.
• Work overtime when needed and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
