Job summary

Avalign Technologies is seeking a Finishing Technician to operate and maintain finishing equipment for medical devices in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Fort Wayne, IN.

You will follow blueprints and work instructions, perform quality checks with calipers and micrometers, enter data into company systems, and support on-time delivery while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

This role requires a high school diploma and follows a Monday-Thursday shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Nice to have familiarity with inspection tools and blueprints.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain finishing equipment for medical devices.
  • Follow work instructions and blueprints to meet quality specs.
  • Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Enter production data into company systems accurately.
  • Monitor inventory and keep workspace organized.
  • Collaborate with team to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Crosstrain in additional finishing processes.
  • Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.

Shift Detail

1st Shift, Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

What You'll Do
  • Operate and maintain finishing equipment to smooth, polish, clean, and passivate medical devices and implants.
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, and inspection sheets to meet quality specifications.
  • Perform quality checks using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Complete production paperwork accurately and enter data into company systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Crosstrain in other finishing processes.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines.
