Job summary

Avalign Technologies is hiring for a manufacturing role focused on operating Brake Press equipment and reading blueprints to shape and finish parts in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will interpret operation sheets, conduct quality inspections, and document results while maintaining safe, organized work areas and accurate production records.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets.
  • Mathematical skills for units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations.
  • Complete forming responsibilities including offsets, large radii, and standard bends.
  • Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges; report dimensional issues.
  • Maintain accurate counts on completed and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork.
  • Set up, operate Brake Press machine; input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System.
  • Maintain tools and measuring instruments; keep work area clean and safe.

Job description

What You’ll Do
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and work operations sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed
  • Completes forming responsibilities which may include offsets, large radii and standard bends
  • Uses inspection gauges such as calipers (both dial and vernier), micrometers, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions; reports dimensional problems to supervisor or set-up person.
  • Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts
  • Completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company data base
  • Maintains tools, measuring instruments, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Reports all equipment problems or malfunctions to supervisor/manager immediately; and maintains clean, orderly and safe work areas at all times.
What You’ll Need

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
  • Ability to set-up and operate Brake Press machine, input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
