Job summary

VIP Staffing in San Antonio is hiring a Welding Finisher Grinder to polish stainless steel parts and remove burrs for a fabrication shop. Pay is up to $25/hr depending on experience, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts for defects, grinding and finishing surfaces, and preparing pieces for welding or painting. Previous grinder/finisher experience in stainless-steel fabrication is required, in an open-air shop

Qualifications

• Experience as a grinder, finisher, or similar role in stainless-steel fabrication.
• Ability to work in an open-air shop (non-climate controlled).
• Familiarity with stainless-steel grinding techniques and equipment.

Immediately hiring a Welding Finisher Grinder for a fabrication shop in San Antonio.

Pay is up to $25/hr. depending on experience

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm (OT based on production)

Duties

• Inspect finished parts for defects, imperfections, and adherence to NSF specifications.
• Remove welds, burrs, and excess material from stainless steel parts to achieve the desired finish.
• Operate grinding machines, power tools, and hand tools to grind, smooth, and polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Prepare stainless steel surfaces for welding, painting, or other finishing processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a grinder, finisher, or similar role in a stainless-steel fabrication shop.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled (open-air) shop.
