Summary/Objective:

This position is primarily responsible for the movement of finished materials through the various phases of production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Observe all safety rules and policies maintained by the company.
  • Coordinate necessary paperwork at the time of material receipt.
  • Clean and maintain equipment in accordance with shift startup and shutdown procedures, including completion of daily forklift inspections.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Maintain raw material inventory (frame parts, I-beam, etc.), including unloading delivery vehicles and restocking materials as needed.
  • Move raw materials through the production area.
  • Transport chassis from production to holding or coating areas; move and hang parts onto E-Coat line; unload parts and move to designated areas.
  • Relocate product to the repair bay as needed.
  • Maintain the exterior yard, including plowing and grading.
  • Rotate positions within the production team as necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily on the production floor; may be exposed to elements (heat, snow, etc.).
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate machinery.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Competencies:

  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve company goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, receipts, prints, and measurements.
  • Meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Operate various lift trucks and equipment, including radios, stabilization devices, tape measures, scanners, etc.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain professional relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
  • Work effectively under physically and mentally stressful situations.
  • Adapt to climate extremes and changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Read and understand daily schedules.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift/move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including coating suits, boots, respirators, gloves, glasses, and ear plugs. Additional PPE may be necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position.

Travel:

No travel expected.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Lift Truck Operator’s License preferred (training available).

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
