This position is responsible for operating a forklift and allocating warehouse locations for finished goods.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (Friday OT) 10p-630a

Work Location: 1 Quality Place, Buckner, KY 40010

Job Description

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Move caps, packaging, and finished goods to and from production line and storage locations in the warehouse.
  • Pull/receive loads and distribute product throughout designated areas of the plant.
  • Perform routine safety checks of forklift including battery, brakes, lift controls, and alarms prior to using equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide counts for materials handled.
  • Maintain working knowledge of warehouse operations, configurations, and procedures.
  • Read and interpret schedules accurately.
  • Safely and accurately perform all duties to ensure safety and product quality.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skill Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable, reliable, and mature handling of equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in math, reading, and writing; accuracy is key.
  • Ability to learn and use SAP inventory management software.
  • Willing to work on all lines and perform all positions, including changeovers.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including weekends.
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and mechanical aptitude preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Perform essential functions with good physical condition.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Stand, climb, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach, twist, and stoop as required.
  • Walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.

Environmental, Health and Safety Requirements:

  • Wear PPE as required, including Blue Nitrile Gloves in production Zone 1.
  • Follow safety policies, including lockout/tagout and safe lifting.
  • Report food safety or quality issues and noncompliance.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report repairs or adjustments needed.
  • Comply with handling and color-coded container policies.
  • Meet company, customer, and government standards.
  • Prevent and identify issues related to food safety and quality.
  • Control further processing of nonconforming products until corrected.

Additional Notes: In case of absence, qualified employees will assume duties.
