Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an experienced inspector for a full-time, second-shift role in Manufacturing. The candidate will inspect and audit parts to ensure compliance with design instructions and process standards, using NDI techniques and standard testing devices.

ITAR compliance and documentation of training are required. Three years of inspection experience, NAS 410 Level II LPI/MPI certification, and the ability to re-certify are essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years related inspection experience including finishes, coatings and processes.
• Three (3) years’ experience as a certified Level II Liquid Penetrant Inspector and a Magnetic Particle Inspector per NAS 410 or equivalent and able to re-certify at Bell.
• New employees must re-certify prior to completing their probationary period at Bell.
• Upgrading employees must re-certify prior to completing their upgrade trial period.
• Must be able to provide documentation of formal training and experience hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit in accordance with work instructions, blueprints, specifications, DDM and management directives to determine product acceptance by visual examination, gages or methods.
• Inspect parts, assemblies and materials for defects in finishes, coatings and processes such as plating, painting, heat treating, and processing.
• Completes process checks and may use portable equipment or holding devices as required.
• Maintain records and prepare reports as required and perform disposition in accordance with specifications and standards.
• Set and calibrate NDI equipment and related tools to meet test specifications and settings.
• Review overall part condition and aesthetics; communicate information effectively in writing and verbally.
• Work independently and within a team; assist inspection personnel as required.
