Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 36 months of machine shop practice or machine shop inspection experience, preferably in the aircraft industry.

Responsibilities

• Determines by visual examination and measurements with precision instruments the adherence to blueprint specifications and workmanship standards.
• Make complex layouts and setups on surface plate and checks measurements to close tolerances.
• Assign duties to lower grade Machined Parts Inspectors and supervise their work for accuracy.
• May inspect vendor-made machined parts, forgings, and other components to specifications.
