Job summary

Textron is seeking a Finish Inspector A for 2nd shift (MTC). This role audits finishes and coatings, using NDT methods and precision instruments, ensuring part acceptance per instructions and specs.

You will set up NDI equipment and maintain meticulous records. The ideal candidate has 3 years of related inspection experience, NAS 410 Level II certifications, and the ability to comply with ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years related inspection experience including finishes, coatings and processes.
• Certified Level II Liquid Penetrant Inspector (LPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspector NAS 410 or equivalent; re-certification may be required.
• Must be able to provide documentation of formal training and experience hours.
• U.S. ITAR - all applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit in accordance with work instructions, blueprints, specifications, DDM, and management directives to determine product acceptance by visual examination or using inspection instruments.
• Inspect parts, assemblies and materials for defects in finishes, coatings, and processes (plating, painting, heat treating, etc.).
• Complete process checks and maintain proper records; prepare reports as required.
• Set and calibrate Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) equipment to meet test specifications and settings.
• Review overall part condition and aesthetics; communicate findings clearly, in writing and verbally.
