Job summary

Millworks By Design is seeking skilled Finish Carpenters to support custom residential and commercial projects. You will deliver high-end architectural millwork and finish carpentry with attention to detail, collaborating with Superintendents and foremen to meet quality standards.

We offer strong safety culture, on-site training, and a comprehensive benefits package with immediate start for full-time roles in the Greater Los Angeles Region. DOE hourly pay ranges from $18 to $42.

• Kit of tools appropriate to experience level.
• Reliable vehicle for transporting tools to job sites.
• Willingness to work in the LA area per MBD map.

• Positive, can-do attitude and quick learner.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install high-quality finish carpentry and custom millwork including cabinetry, paneling, ceilings, doors, trim, baseboards and crown molding.
• Read shop drawings and project specs to ensure precise installation.
• Measure, cut, fit and install finish materials with craftsmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while protecting surfaces.
• Identify and resolve installation challenges in the field.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Inspect completed work and address punch list items.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Communicate progress, material needs and issues to supervisors.
