Job summary

Up Closets is seeking a skilled trim carpenter for a part-time role in the NYC area. You will perform finish work on residential and commercial installations, delivering precise, high-quality results. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of trim/finish carpentry, strong miter/coping/scribing skills, and the ability to work independently or with a small team.

Compensation ranges from $28.00 to $38.00 per hour. Valid driver's license and strong client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on trim or finish carpentry experience.
• Strong miter cutting, coping, and scribing skills.
• Familiarity with trim/finish tools (miter saw, nail gun, router, hand tools).
• Valid driver's license and ability to work independently or in a small team.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship; good client communication.

Responsibilities

• Install trim, casing, molding, and finish details on custom closet systems.
• Ensure tight, clean fits with precise scribing to walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Provide professional, courteous service throughout installation.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment on every site.
• Collaborate with lead installer to ensure timely, high-quality completion.
• Follow company policies related to installation and customer service.
