Job summary

Aerotek is hiring skilled Frame to Finish Carpenters for commercial apartment construction projects throughout the Boston area, including Milton, Medford, and Somerville. These are full-time, long-term positions offering consistent work, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on large-scale residential construction projects.

Candidates must have their own hand tools and PPE and be ready to start as soon as possible. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Qualifications

• Able to read a tape measure and follow construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, finish carpentry, and general construction tasks on commercial apartment projects
• Measure, cut, and install wood and other building materials according to specifications
• Install trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry components
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and construction drawings
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work closely with other trades and team members to ensure project timelines are met
• Follow all job site safety regulations and PPE requirements

Requirements

• At least 1 year of carpentry or construction experience
• Experience with framing, finish carpentry, or both
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow construction plans or instructions
• Must provide your own hand tools and PPE
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerville, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
