Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies LLC in Berwick, PA is seeking a Full Time Finish Carpenter to measure, mark, and assemble materials per blueprints and supervisor instructions. You will cut and shape components from wood and related materials and install baseboard, door and window casing, and crown molding with precision.

You will use hand and power tools to assemble projects, join materials with nails or adhesives, and verify accuracy with levels and framing squares while adhering to safety codes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of finish carpentry experience.
• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
• Works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Cut, fit, and install baseboard, door & window casing and crown molding, according to specific measurements.
• Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesive.
• Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
• Creates wooden forms for pouring concrete or for tunnels, bridges, or sewer construction projects.
• Erects and dismantles scaffolding.
• Installs windows, cabinets and doors with precision.
• Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Information
