Job summary

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is seeking a skilled finish carpenter to join our team on-site in Berwick, PA. You will measure, cut, and install mouldings, doors, and windows, while following blueprints and safety codes to deliver quality modular construction projects.

The successful candidate brings at least two years of finish carpentry experience, strong blueprint-reading ability, and a collaborative work style.

Qualifications

• 2 years of finish carpentry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
• Works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
• Cut, fit, and install baseboard, door & window casing and crown molding, according to measurements.
• Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Checks accuracy of work with levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
• Creates wooden forms for pouring concrete or for tunnels, bridges, or sewer construction projects.
• Erects and dismantles scaffolding.
• Installs windows, cabinets and doors with precision.
• Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Information

The Pay Range for this position is $21.41 - $27.41 per hour based on experience and qualifications. We also offer the following benefits:
