Gold Beech Construction in Lexington, MA seeks an experienced Finish Carpenter to perform finish and rough carpentry on custom homes, remodels, and additions. You will read plans, fabricate and install trim, doors, windows, and cabinetry to exacting standards, coordinating with project managers to maintain schedules and quality.

Based in Lexington, MA, we are an established company offering full-time, year-round work on custom homes, whole-house renovations, and additions.

The Opportunity

We are hiring an experienced Finish Carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship and thrives on demanding, detail-driven residential work. If you enjoy seeing a project through from framing to final trim, and you care about tight tolerances and clean details, this role offers the opportunity to do your best work on high-end projects.

You will be a key contributor on complex builds and renovations, trusted to handle both rough and finish carpentry. As you grow with the team, you will have a defined path toward Lead Carpenter responsibilities and greater ownership of projects.

What You'll Do

• Perform both rough construction and finish carpentry on custom homes, whole-house renovations, and additions.
• Read and interpret architectural plans, sketches, section details, and elevations to execute work accurately.
• Fabricate and install framing, trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and custom millwork to high-end residential standards.
• Coordinate daily with project managers, teammates, and subcontractors to meet schedules, quality expectations, and site requirements.
• Assist with layout, material preparation, and on-site problem solving while maintaining clean, safe, and organized job sites.

What Success Looks Like

• Within the first 3–6 months, you consistently deliver precise finish work that meets architectural specifications and passes punch lists with minimal revisions.
• You become a go-to carpenter on your crew, requiring minimal supervision for assigned tasks and reliably meeting agreed-upon timelines.
• You build strong working relationships with project managers and teammates by communicating clearly, planning ahead, and helping keep jobsites safe and organized.
• Over 6–12 months, you demonstrate readiness for increased responsibility by taking ownership of key scopes of work and contributing ideas to improve workflows and quality.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of high-end residential finish carpentry experience, including trim, doors, windows, and custom details.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and construction techniques, with the ability to read and work from architectural plans and documents.
• Proven ability to execute to tight tolerances and high standards while maintaining safety, professionalism, and a clean work area.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to learn and grow with the team, and the physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and meet the demands of the trade.

Compensation and Benefits

• $28 to $37 per hour, with the top of the range reserved for carpenters who can perform their duties independently with minimal supervision.
