Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Finish Blade Operator to join our team. The role requires finishing grade on dozer and blade using GPS and UTS, with potential travel to other job sites.

You will operate Caterpillar 140H and John Deere 672GP equipment on infrastructure projects. We offer competitive pay, PTO, holiday pay, insurance options, a 401K with company match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for growth and career

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of finish blade experience.
• Must value completing all work duties and assignments safely.
• Must be a team player and be willing to do laborer work.
• Willingness to travel to this and other job sites as necessary.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform various operator/laborer duties on our projects.
• Safe operation of the Blade and other equipment.
• Motor Grader Operator will be responsible to grade excavation and embankment to lay base and other materials.
• The Motor Grader Operator may blade haul roads and other general work.
• Finish grade work to blue tops or other close specification control.
• Equipment - Caterpillars 140H and John Deere 672GP.
