Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of clerical or administrative support experience.
• At least one (1) year of clerical or administrative support experience in a security or law enforcement environment preferred.
• Experience classifying and identifying fingerprints or processing, reviewing and researching criminal history and accurately maintain supporting information and databases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Classify and identify fingerprints using computer systems and databases.
• Verify fingerprints into AFIS; update the Albuquerque Police Department's criminal history database.
• Classify fingerprints with the Henry System on new felony arrests.
• Classify fingerprints for entry into the NCIC system.
• Photograph and fingerprint civilians, suspects, city employees and police officer applicants.
• Ensure the quality of the AFIS database; verify fingerprint classifications and notify pertinent personnel.
• Assist officers and radio dispatch with information to transmit to officers in the field; provide case numbers.
