Job summary

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking an experienced Fingerprint Identification Supervisor to plan, organize, review and coordinate the activities of staff involved in fingerprint classification, comparison, and identification, including AZAFIS transactions across Arizona sites.

Requires FBI Fingerprint Classification School graduate or equivalent coursework and two years of fingerprint identification experience, with one year in automated systems. Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires FBI Fingerprint Classification School graduate or coursework in fingerprint identification, criminalistics and evidence technology.
• Two years of fingerprint identification experience, including one year in AZAFIS operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, review and coordinate the activities of employees involved in fingerprint classification, comparison and identification.
• Operate/manual and AZAFIS fingerprint processes and validate AZAFIS transactions across sites.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
