Job summary

Acker Merrall & Condit Co, established in 1820, seeks a warehouse/inventory specialist to manage wine stock, inspect products, and support receiving and unpacking in a temperature-controlled warehouse in Valley Cottage, NY. Training will cover wine authentication and duties across fine wine inventory.

Candidates should have 3+ years of warehouse experience, a WSET or equivalent wine education, and excellent communication; spirits knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse and inventory experience.
• WSET or wine education with aspirations to learn more.
• Spirits knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inventory wines based on region, vineyard, maker, and vintage.
• Inspect product for defects or damages.
• Receive additional training in authenticating wines.
• Perform in-house inspections of wine and spirits.
• Oversee and support receiving and unpacking of incoming product.
• Travel to offsite cellar location to perform similar duties.
