Job summary

Mac Papers + Packaging seeks a Category Manager for Fine Paper at our Jacksonville, FL headquarters. You will own the commercial direction of the category, including supplier strategy, product portfolio, pricing guidance, and inventory strategy to drive profitability.

Collaboration with Sales, Purchasing and Finance is essential for success. The role emphasizes strategic leadership over day-to-day PO execution, with duties ranging from category strategy development to supplier program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain analytics, planning, logistics, or data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large datasets and identify trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with database management is a plus.
• Exposure to ERP systems and business intelligence tools preferred.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to work alone or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategy for Fine Paper aligned with growth, margin, inventory, and customer objectives.
• Monitor category trends, supplier activity, demand, and market conditions; lead improvement plans.
• Own category-level performance analysis: sales, gross margin, rebates, SKU productivity, inventory turns.
• Support pricing guidance, cost-change processes, and profitability targets.
• Collaborate with Finance and Sales to assess customer-specific inventory and profitability.
• Lead supplier negotiations related to rebates, pricing, and strategic programs.
