Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Bernard James is a Brooklyn-based fine jewelry brand redefining modern luxury through high-quality, timeless design and impactful storytelling. We have been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Hypebeast, and GQ, among many others.

We are looking for a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at our Brooklyn store. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and trustworthy luxury & fashion enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships with customers, and is eager to contribute to the growth of our emerging brand.

Please note: This role requires weekend availability, with the possibility of additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers professionally and warmly
  • Provide product knowledge and assist with selections
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized sales floor with well-stocked displays
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and exchanges with professionalism
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
  • Assist customers with jewelry repair drop-offs and product demonstrations
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships through our clientele program
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of luxury sales experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excitement to work for a fast-growing brand
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Positive, outgoing attitude with a willingness to learn about the company and jewelry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and travel within NYC
  • Autonomous and thrives on feedback
  • Understands luxury goods marketing and sales
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work with sales goals
  • Driven and self-motivated to build programs that will allow us to scale the business and brand

Familiarity with:
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems for processing transactions
  • Experience with Shopify required
  • Google Sheets and Excel
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay: $18–$24 per hour, based on experience
