Located in the heart of SoHo, our flagship showroom brings together collectible timepieces, fine art, luxury leather goods, and one-of-a-kind jewelry under one roof. We are seeking a high-performing Sales Associate with a specialization in fine jewelry to join our New York team and help continue shaping the MG experience.
Role OverviewThe salary listed is a base range and is not inclusive of our lucrative commission structure. As this is a sales focused role the monthly commission will be based on personal sales and performance.
As a Sales Associate at our SoHo flagship, you’ll focus on building and maintaining long-term client relationships, with a core emphasis on fine jewelry sales . You’ll also support and sell across other categories including artwork, leather goods, and timepieces . This role requires a refined aesthetic sensibility, strong emotional intelligence, and a proactive, client-first mindset.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Generation- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual individual sales goals—particularly in fine jewelry , while also contributing across watches and leather goods.
- Drive both transactional and relationship-based sales by converting walk-ins, appointments, and referrals into lifelong clients.
- Build your own book of business through consistent outreach, personal introductions, and word-of-mouth.
- Confidently introduce new and existing clients to the full MG offering, with a focus on cultivating jewelry-specific opportunities.
Client Development & CRM Management- Nurture deep, ongoing relationships with a personal portfolio of clients; proactively reach out for birthdays, milestones, and gifting moments.
- Log all relevant client data—preferences, sizing, style notes, wish lists—into the CRM to support white-glove personalization.
- Book and host private appointments and styling sessions both in-store and off-site.
- Support clients through custom design or bespoke projects in partnership with our Atelier.
Client Experience & Community Engagement- Assist with trunk shows, showroom events, and gallery-style activations—especially those centered on fine jewelry.
- Provide VIP-level service at every touchpoint: from in-store experiences to delivery and post-purchase follow-up.
- Actively participate in New York’s luxury circles and social networks to expand reach and deepen community ties.
Product Expertise & Visual Standards- Maintain deep knowledge of our fine jewelry assortment—including designers we carry, gemstones, and custom design capabilities.
- Stay informed on jewelry trends and help translate insights into client recommendations or internal merchandising needs.
- Ensure exceptional in-store presentation: from appointments to the jewelry cases
- Partner with the team on vault/backstock organization and ensure timely floor representation for new arrivals, and general inventory maintenance on the sales floor and back stock.
Operational Support & Sales Reporting- Accurately process sales, returns, repairs, and special orders through POS systems.
- Track and report on personal sales performance and client activity in coordination with leadership.
- Oversee logistical details for jewelry repairs, custom orders, and stone sourcing with precision and care.
- Share feedback on product interest and emerging demand to support team buying strategies.
What We’re Looking For- Demonstrated success in fine jewelry sales— a must —with additional experience in luxury categories (watches or leather) a major plus.
- A polished, self-directed sales professional who treats their client book like a personal business.
- Charisma, poise, and the ability to make clients feel seen, heard, and inspired.
- Experience using a CRM platform and an organized approach to relationship management.
- Passionate about fine jewelry and deeply curious about trends, design, and market movement.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and events as needed.
