Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality's Fire Steakhouse seeks a Specialty Server to deliver friendly, attentive service in a fine dining atmosphere. You will specialize in wine knowledge, table-side service, and upselling to enhance guest experiences.

Shifts run 4pm–11pm; candidates must be 21+, with proven restaurant service experience and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Knowledge of French and Continental cuisines is a plus, and teamwork is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• Must have extensive knowledge of food products, wine, liquor, and service techniques with a minimum two (2) years of full service restaurant experience- required
• OR One (1) year of training in the Steakhouse- required
• Must be able to perform basic math skills; Ability to read and write English
• Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to deal effectively with diverse departments and have flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment
• Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position
• Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
• Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and TIPS training
• Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take drinks orders with suggestive selling
• Serve drinks and meals with proper garnishes and timing
• Input orders into Micros and relay to kitchen
• Check back within two minutes to ensure satisfaction
• Maintain clean work area and handle cash accurately
