Job summary

Eataly North America is seeking a server to coordinate the service station and collaborate with front- and back-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Reports to the Restaurant Manager and greets guests, explains specials, and relays orders to the kitchen and bar using a POS system.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of server experience; fine dining experience helps but is not required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible onsite schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of server experience preferred.
• Fine dining server experience is great but not required.
• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies.
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system.
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests.
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware.
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
