Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a professional to join the Faculty Club as a fine dining server. Responsibilities include setting up dining rooms, taking orders, serving wine, and maintaining elegant service throughout meal periods.

The role requires previous hotel/restaurant experience, knowledge of wines, and the ability to lift heavy objects. Flexible hours and a strong customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous Hotel/restaurant experience.
• Fine dining server experience.
• Basic knowledge of wines.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Routinely lift an average of 50 lbs.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol (21), 18 to serve it.
• Experience in Micros or other POS system very helpful.

Responsibilities

• Set up a la carte and private dining rooms for all meal periods.
• Perform opening and closing side-work for each meal period.
• Take guest orders, serve and buss tables, and present wines per standards.
• Attend to beverage stations and maintain dining room sanitation.
• Assist with maintaining HACCP policies and compliance.
